Measures taken by the Council to minimize prohibited species bycatch of Chinook salmon and Pacific halibut will be discussed in more detail. The presentation will conclude with an update on the Council’s evaluation of alternatives to establish abundance-based halibut bycatch limits for the BSAI bottom trawl catcher-processor sector.
