Alaska CARES Grant Eligibility for Fishermen

Today during the House Labor and Commerce Committee Meeting, Commissioner Julie Anderson of the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development announced that commercial fishermen may now apply for Alaska CARES Grant $290 million with a Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission Limited Entry Permit. This news is a long time coming for commercial fishermen who previously were only eligible if they possessed an Alaska Business License.
Additionally, 501(c)6 organizations are eligible to apply. If your trade group is a 501(c)6, this is very helpful.
